Since 1985, students on the UCD campus have been putting their business acumen, good looks and talent behind the annual fashion show which has now become a signatory event in the UCD alumni calendar.
From small beginnings the Show has grown to encompass a cast of over 200 student organisers, models and dancers who will put on a professional show before an audience of 5,500 in RDS Simmonscourt on 29th February 2008.
Fashion, dance and live music all fuse on stage to create an event that represent the pillars of youth culture and we believe is the biggest student fashion event in Europe.
Roll on Friday 29th February 2008 when the next Show takes place in the RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin.

Down Syndrome Centre is a registered Irish charity set up in 2002 by parents of children with Down syndrome to fund Ireland’s first national treatment centre for people with this disability.
From the outset, every child born with Down syndrome requires access to a system which provides accurate assessment of their medical and physical needs; early intervention services to develop motor skills and stimulate mental development and educational support to maximise learning opportunities.
Our ultimate goal is to create a centre where access to all these services and more will be housed under the one roof to provide a brighter future for people with Down syndrome.
Down Syndrome Centre Liaison Nursing Service
While the process of raising the money for the Down Syndrome Centre has been underway for a few years now, we are currently establishing a much needed outreach service – the Down Syndrome Centre Liaison Nursing Service - to provide support, advice and counselling to new parents of children with Down syndrome through maternity hospitals in Dublin.
The recruitment of the first Down Syndrome Centre Liaison Nurse will result in the appointment of a qualified paediatric nurse whose job will be to visit parents in hospital, help them deal with the wide range of emotions they encounter on hearing their child’s diagnosis, provide them with advice and hand-on support and make regular home visits to the family throughout the course of child’s first year.
The role is being piloted in the Dublin area initially and will hopefully roll out to provide similar vital back-up and support service for parents countrywide in the future. For more information, see www.downsyndromecentre.ie
We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with the UCD students in producing the UCD Fashion Show and in benefiting from the Show’s profits for the three year period 2007 - 2009.
